Hours of work:                 21 hours per week                                                                                                

Accountable to:               Business Manager

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

-        Assist the Business Manager in preparation of financial data via data entry into accounting software, spreadsheets, and reports.

-        Assist with reception of visitors, and answering of phones as well as vacation coverage

-        Reconcile Petty Cash and monthly bank Reconciliations; Prepare Bank deposits;

-        Prepare and post Journal entries

-        Create and Maintain an accurate capital asset listing

-        Prepare HST rebate returns and assist with annual Audit and Tax returns

-        Filing and records retention

-        Assist with Payroll related documentation and reports

Qualifications and Experience:

-                  Proficient in the use of various software programs spreadsheet (Excel), word processing (Word), and email (Outlook).

-                  Some knowledge of Accounting and Bookkeeping practises (some Sage software experience an asset)

-                  Ability to maintain confidentiality related to all financial, personnel, agency, and client matters.

-                  Accuracy and attention to detail.

-                  Superior communication skills.

-                  College diploma in Administration or Bookkeeping is preferred.

-                  Experience in a non-profit environment or social service agency would be an asset.

Starting pay is $18.21/hr.
