General Description:

Chiropractic wellness centre looking for a part-time office assistant to join a growing wellness based practice. Candidate must be warm and friendly with a positive attitude and have the ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities and Duties

-ability to promote a healthy lifestyle

-greeting and directing patients

-answering phone and scheduling appointments

-managing patient flow and schedule

-provide general patient education and patient support

-data entry for new patients

-verify patient insurance information and billing

-Motor Vehicle Accident insurance and billing

-managing patient invoicing and collecting payments

-reconciliation of patient accounts

-patient and room set-up

-performing basic components of physical exam using computerized scanning technology

-general cleaning duties to maintain clinical and professional working environment

Skills and Qualifications:

-strong computer skills: patient management software system; Microsoft Office- excel, word, publisher

-strong math skills: good with numbers for purposes of managing patient accounts and account reconciliation

-strong customer service and people skills: personable, professional, enjoys working with people, always provide extra ordinary service, some public relations 

-ability to multi-task

-shows initiative

-ability and willingness to follow office policies and procedures

-participate in ongoing training and development

-High School diploma; additional qualifications will be a plus

Hours and Compensation:

-part-time approximately 20 hours per week

-shifts are approximately 6 hours in duration including morning/afternoon/evening and Saturday mornings

-starting hourly wage: $14.00/hour
